Race Day
Follow a turf runner through the curve and the dirt crossing. Look for balance, an open lane and the rhythm carried into the stretch.

Today’s Picks
A strong shared choice should not hide the alternative. Read why the track voices lean one way, then compare the inside runner and the house view.

Santa Anita Data Desk
Watch the crossing, not just the order. The house reading keeps one balance-and-path question visible through the race, with the original question preserved at the finish.
- Keep every opinion distinct
- Track consensus stays separate from the Data Desk’s own selections.
- Turn a list into a race story
- Explain who brings the early pace and which runners may wait behind it.
- Carry the question through the finish
- Keep the original pre-race question visible, rather than changing the story after the result.
